Ground Loops is an exhibition and series of experimental workshops gathering Singapore- and New York-based artists and teachers imagining possibilities beyond prevailing digital and social codes.
Featuring artworks by bani haykal, Charmaine Poh, Melanie Hoff, ong kian peng, and Zainab Aliyu, alongside a newly commissioned publication by Neta Bomani and Shrub, Ground Loops intertwines software and soil, surveillance and laughter, movement and mark-making. Across the exhibition, artists critically transform archives—personal, historical, and computational—using approaches such as language, artificial intelligence, and ritual assemblage.
Alongside the exhibition, learners are invited to play close to the metal of the machine in three workshops facilitated by Melanie Hoff and Tommy Martinez from School for Poetic Computation and Ashley Hi from Feelers.
We led the project from planning to delivery, managing the exhibition framework, grant writing and administration, and coordinating technical and print production. Our role was to align creative intent with operational execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables were met while supporting collaborators across curatorial, technical, and production workflows.
